Post by: Greg Jackson on January 06, 2013, 08:19:17 PM
When will these be available?

I helped Matt do some testing a couple weeks ago and he decided to make some changes to maximize performance.  These are a work in progress so there is no set release date at this time.  Rest assured, they will not disappoint!

I've already pre-ordered, but if it's too long I will have to cancel. You see I bought a 130 only for indoor flight. Still until end of March, then it will be for sell.

Thanks for the info.

Not meaning to hijack your thread, But just putting this  out there. I have a 130x for sale on RCG. Price is negotiable. Wanna fund my e5.

So tempting.  I have such a love/hate relationship with my 130X, though, that I'd hate myself if I bought another one.

I almost sold mine. But will keep it and use it when it actually works.

How do you guys like the 130x??I flew and crashed my bl mcpx to the point of no return and it needs to be replaced.Like everyone I got a huge love/hate relation with this little one,I have yet to decide which way to go. Wait for the new bl mcpx v2 or get 130x..I see that the 130x seem to need a few upgrade to be on the ball and is not as crash resistant than the mcpx. Is it that bad??

I finally got all flight orientation and now mixing them up together in flight...steep curve again :o I get disoriented easily while switching ,would like a micro that can help me getting those switch natural...Is the 130x up to the task??My mcpx was really unforgiving...

thanks

Jeff

I love the 130x. It has been my inverted trainer for a while now. The metal tail pitch slider is the a have to upgrade. IMHO. The tail had too much slop for my liking stock. That may have gotten better. I have one of the first ones out if factory. Other upgrades are bling for me. But I do have them:-) oh, the metal "a" gear upgrade is a must also.

I found it easier to flip than the MCPX and it is more stable inverted. The only thing I have to replace regularly when I crash is "c" tail gear. It is the weak link. I guess it's good to have one weak link instead of breaking something more expensive. The "c" gears are cheap but a bit of a pain to replace.

I actually found the 130x easier to flip.  The mcpx would bog easily.  I enjoy the 130x when it works, but a lot of times it isn't reliable.  But very nice when it works.

Alright guys,thanks for the feedback.

I am looking at something a bit more stable than the mcpx and It looks like the 130x is the way to go.The mcpx is so fast that it makes it less forgiving when practicing new orientation.

I just hope not to buy a new love/hate machine...I wish synergy would makes a quality micro!Throwing money into upgrade is killing me

Again remember, I feel like my 130x is waiting for repairs more than any other helicopter.  Check out the nano and the 300x.  If Synergy had a micro/mini, I wouldn't have to ever buy another one of these types of helis.  Will it happen...probably not.  Do we all wish it would happen....hellyeah

Yeah the servos are absolutely horrible... sometimes you get 100 flights sometimes 6. Synergy could rule the Heli world if they could create the high level of quality in the smaller birds. Problem would be who creates he servos and flybarless controllers Futaba... Nope... Spectrum we already know how that goes :)

The real issue with creating a small Synergy heli will be the cost.  It would cost nearly as much as a fully assembled E5.  With that in mind would there truly be a market for it?

Agree Rich. It would be cost prohibitive. Awesome yes but an expensive smaller heli just would not compete.

Cheers

I tried flying mine today. One flight and the servo is bad. It only had 2-3 flights on it.  It's like I fly, then have to do repairs.  It's tiresome.

I wish I could fly 19 degrees today. Rich I don't get how it could cost as much as an e5 to produce 130-250 the material would be an 1/8 of an e5... hell the canopy of an e5 almost envelopes my trex 450. Guessing smaller parts are hard to make?

LOL ..... it's not the materials it's the CNC work that would kill it.  Why do you think all of the little machines are plastic?

Yeah not very excited about my 130X seems to take to long and to many parts to fix it and keep the tail working. Love the E7 get it out fly it no problems go home do it again the next day. Lots of quality fly time.

May have to give a set of these blades a try with some tail mods?

I hope it will be soon.  But Matt is a perfectionist, which is why I buy the product.

I picked up two sets of these blades at IRCHA and I can't believe the quality in these little blades. I found myself staring at the detail and was amazed at how much they look like the bigger ones. Great job, very worth it! Plus it makes the little crappy 130 look like a real Heli :)

Yes, they look great but have you flown them?  That's where the real magic happens. :)

Oh my God.  I bought a set of these blades.  Holy Crap.  I had little shakey shakes when I would toss the heli-around hard.  I chalked it up to the 3&1 board.  Anyhow, I put these rail blades on the 130X, and they were gone.  The thing is slicker than deer guts on a door knob.  I wanted to use orange blades to make it my Clemson tailgate heli, but it may just have to settle with the white on the rails.

I wonder if these would fit the new trex 150 coming out?

I think the 150 is actually smaller than the 130x.

Yeah, got mine in this weekend and now I release the size difference.  Still waiting for my dmss sat so I can actually fly it.  Sorry, I just like Rails on all of my helis!
