Title: Can i use my trex 500X electronics on my synergy 516?
Post by: ktmdiesel on October 20, 2017, 05:34:54 PM
This may be frowned upon lol, but i was hoping to just swap the electronics from my 500x to my 516 for a short period of time while i save for new electronics. Do you guys think the ESC and motor will handle swinging 516 blades and lifting that weight or am i going to run into problems. The ESC is - Align RCE-BL80A Brushless ESC
and the motor is -Align 520MX Brushless Motor (1600KV / 3527). I am not very good with the electronic helis so any info is appreciated!! thanks -Luke

Unfortunately no. The 500x is a 425mm heli? The 516 is a 516mm heli, quite a bit larger. You need a larger class motor with kv of 1350 or less,  90+ Amp esc, and servos with at least 100oz or torque.
