Just a quick $0.02.  I use a dx8 and I am happy with it, very easy to use and IMO has a nice look. If you want to ever get any sort of BNf machine you will be able to with this radio (just a small perk available with spectrum and jr) I also really like the way the radio feels in my hands.

I'm still rocking the good old DX7 here! ;) For me, it's all about the feel in my hands and this radio can't be beat so far. The JR 9503 is the next closest thing to the DX7 for me, so when it's time to upgrade, I'll probably go that direction.

A DSX9 (JR 9503 in the states I think) Well made, feels nice to hold and I love it. Have a grope of a few Tx's in your LHS, they all do the same thing at the end of the day, what fits one persons hands may nmot be the best for yours......

JR 11X and Futaba 8FG here. Both are very nice radio's but still prefer the JR programing over Futaba's.  DX8 is a nice radio as well.

Like other's have said go to you're LHS or field and go over each radio.

I'm getting ready to buy my G/F a radio as she's wanting to get into flying(she's still on the sim). So I'll take her to the local field with me and let her look over a few radio's I don't have. She does like my 11X so far.

I am rocking the 10C. I am looking at going over to the 8FG with cg750 they seem to work well together.

You don't need to have you pc at the field!

Thanks for the help, I went ahead and got an 8FG Super and it is a lot different than my old Dx6i but so far I love this radio, going from a Dx6i to the 8FG feels so much different(in a good way) in the air!

used to be a JR guy, owned a few 10's, then a DX7, and a DX7se. Moved to a Futaba 10c and a 8fg now. Very happy with

Futaba equipment and bls servos.

I think what ever feels good in your hands is the best.
Most of the high end radios are bullet proof,
Cant really go wrong.
