I have to chime in...

This thread was started since the "big box" suppliers were out of stock on the parts I needed.   Looking at the other parts listed on their websites, the proverbial cupboard was bare.  Even mattbotos.com was out of stock on the parts - still is.

Thank goodness for FBLRotors.   Helilids does not show stock status, so I was reticient to place order just to have it backordered.   Alan did respond to my Contact request, but by then I had material ordered from Ralph.

I am realistic enough to know that someone cannot stock everything, but when the Source of the parts is out of stock, I get scared and start to look at other helicopter manufacturers.  It seems to me most of the US is not in  exactly prime flying time, and to not find parts in stock is scary.

Been burned three times -- Hirobo,  MA, and then Thunder Tiger.   Retirement is coming up and I cannot afford switching horses again.

Not starting a "whining" thread -- just bring up awareness.

I can completely understand your concern, you certainly did have a bad run of luck with those brands. But Synergy isn't going anywhere and all product lines are still fully supported.  Matt got a parts order in, and most of the common parts are back in stock.  The more common items tend to sell out fast at Matt's store because the "Big box" retailers as you call them, have standing resupply orders.  If you can't find a part in stock, back order it and your part will ship as soon as they come in.  Now that we are in the swing of the season parts orders are frequent.  Your favorite big box stores should be restocked very soon too.

I just put all the common N5c crash parts in my cart, main/tail shafts, spindle, boom, TT, control rod, boom supports, skids, gears, all in stock at Matt's store.  The season is here, let's have a ton of fun!

For future reference my stock status is always available online.  If it's not in stock it will say "out of stock" when you pull up the item.
Glad ralph helped you out.

Fortunately here in Oz we do not have a season which stops flying, especially QLD, so fly all year round, so spares need to be in stock all year round, but I still cannot see anyone who has the fuel tank stopper grommet, not exactly a high commodity item. Fortunately after to speaking with the Australian distributor the shop assistant has one spare, of their own personal stash and has offered to pass it on. I do want to fly and have fun, but difficult without the parts. Unfortunately unless the "big box supplier" have it the postage appears too expensive to ship and even Matts site does not have the part! So as much as some feel it wrong to make a comment or raise a concern, my personal concern not everyone's, but if I do not make a comment and the supplier does not listen then how will the vendor improve its performance, not having spares will do more damage than any of my remarks.
Question if this is not an open forum to make comment and ask a genuine question without people feeling being attacked then I will hold my piece in future, consider my purchases more carefully with people whom are genuinely interested in improving service and building a relationship with there clients.
I am thankful and happy for the shops response after my call to them today (Thanks -Josh), but to here they did not receive parts due to none in stock from source is not good.
So a simple question who has part# 106-810 Synergy Fuel Stank Stopper Grommet?? that can ship at a sensible price.

Hoi Paul,

I totally agree.  Far too often we take the "Emperor's New Clothes" approach on forums for issues like this.

Happy flying!!!

In regards to Sensible shipping price? There is not one to Australia. One thing I have realized is that shipping out of the US definitely is more expensive than shipping  into the US. And we wonder why there is a trade deficit?
Anyway after thoroughly researching rates yesterday and today there is not a cheap shopping option to Australia. Unless of course the retailer is willing to eat part of the shipping cost. Pretty sure that the big box guys aren't going to eat huge shipping costs either.
The best I can do with small boxes to Australia, 2x3x4 or so, is $15.50. This is First Class Mail and will take 10-15 days to arrive. If we shoot for 5-7 days we can do DHL for about $25 but size of the package is still a problem. We don't even want to discuss Fedex or UPS unless the order is substantial.

I am sure this is the struggle ARKRC deals with. To keep prices reasonable they must wait until they have a reasonable size order.
I have also dipped into my personal stash on numerous occasions when needed to help the customer. Just as Josh did.
For that he should be commended.

Cheers
Alan

Fuel tank grommets are in stock and have not been out of stock for years. Our system may have showed them out of stock but the system was likely reflecting inventory incorrectly. If you run into anything like this again please email us directly. It's very rare for us to have anything out of stock for more that a few weeks.

Thanks,

Matt

Paul66,

Yes you can order directly from the USA but if course shipping is expensive for larger items. Small items can be quite reasonable using USPS first class.

No there are not plans to discontinue any models.

Your market is a completely different story from the USA. You have a single distributor that is supposed to be supplying all of Australia (customers and dealers) with parts and kits. If you have a problem with Synergy parts stock at ARK Rc please email me directly. If parts are not being kept in stock then I need to find a new distributor for Australia.

Thanks,

Matt

Matt
I thank you for your response and in future will communicate directly if I have another incident of parts issues, I am grateful that you clearly are interested in your customers as I was led to believe, and words from the man himself is sufficient for me, this has reassured me that this marque is here for the long term unlike other brands we could mention, which is great because I love the hobby and the machines I own and have no intention to stop flying them. As you say the Australian market is a very strange and difficult market to service and is alien in some respect to me having lived in the UK for most of my life, where parts are easily accessible and priced similarly. But the distributor in Australia needs to understand that there business is only as good as the support to the customer and this means parts are stocked for products they sell, and not think that people should wait for long periods of time between drinks ( Aussies are a thirsty bunch and I would imagine from you previous visit can testify, and if the bar is dry will move onto the next).
I like the drink and the atmosphere in this bar is great so will continue to remain a patron, again thanks for the reply and hope the marque goes from strength to strength,
It is refreshing that a manufacturer/supplier listens to a lowly customer and respond in person, so as we say "Good on yer cobber"
Best Regards
Paul :) :) :)
