cgy 750 tail tuning help
« Reply #15 on: June 06, 2017, 09:11:18 PM »
I have been accused of being a servo Nazi, but I'm going to tell you the aligne DS 650 does not play well with the CGY. The cgy needs a good quality narrow center pulse servo.

The 650 works on a lot of FBL a systems, but I wouldn't run anything but A 760 center pulse with the CGY

I don't like align servos but it came with it when I bought it and I haven't had the funds to change it just yet , but be assured it is the first thing on my list to go , what would you recommend for a decent 6v servo?

going through my tail mechanics tonight the actual tail is perfect not a hint of any resistance throughout the entire tail motion, I do feel some resistance from the pushrod , I think I will try and find a carbon one I can use to replace the original to free that up some , its not that bad but under flight conditions you just don't know

Futaba BLs251sv is the best 6v tail on the planet of you ask me. But I admit I'm a bit of a servo nazi.

Most of the good HV tails that are 760 center pulse work well on 6v.

I agree with Chris. That servo and the CGY-750 is not a good combination.

What are you powering your servos with and what is the exact voltage?
BLS251SB and BLS276SV are current and available.

You are running a voltage range that fits the BLS276SV Futaba tail servo.

I realise that this is the wrong forum for this question so I will keep it short, I changed the pushrod on my x5 to a carbon rod supported in the middle , tail is better but I have to tune out the ccw bounce ( cnt dly out I believe is the parameter) I have been noticing a head shake at low rpm which is getting worse so I think I have to change my dampeners too , this I think will solve my problem , thank you for all of your time , I think that is all , until I get a 516 anyway

I currently have BK tail servos in all my models, as well, with great success.
