servo arm wheel for 25tooth servos
Helikid42:
I am using 25 tooth servos and am curious as to what servo horn/wheel is best to attach the carbon servo arm. Thanks to all for your input on this subject.
curmudgeon:
Except for JR and older Hitec servos, most servos in the market use the 25T spline. To use the Synergy CF arms, it is recommended to use the Futaba style small servo wheel. However, it is ridiculous that these sell for around $3.50 each. It is cheaper to purchase a whole set of servo horns. It came to my attention recently that you can also use the 4-arm servo horn included with most 25T spline servos instead of the harder to find small servo wheel with the Synergy CF servo arms.
Wolf51:
The Synergy CF horns work great and I prefer them as they provide a failure point which can save servo gears in a crash and for servo arm alignment accuracy.
But I'm also at a loss for why a single Type D horn with mounting screw costs $3.50, particularly when you can buy these 4packs for about $4 Australian. You just need to track down someone who sells them.
