Merry Christmas guys/gals.  Good news!!  Kit has been ordered.  Bad news...it's back ordered 2-3 weeks.  No worries, gives me time to take down Christmas lights and get the new year all situated.

One pre build question.  I received some more parts today.  One of the parts was the rpm sensor.  They didn't have Align Governor Sensor part number AGNHE50H22, it's now discontinued.. so I ordered the Align Beast X Governor Sensor(was difficult to tell from the pic that it would not fit).  That one has a large plug that definitely will not fit my Ikon 1 gov port.  So, does that mean I need the Align Beast X adapter cable AND the MSH governor adapter?  That's alot of adapter's.  Or is there a more efficient way to do this?  Backplate sensor?

I think I'll solder the MSH governor adapter to the sensor so I can plug into ikon gov port.

I cut that connector off and crimped on pins for a normal servo connector.  Note that you're going to have to swap two of those pins from what their normal colors would indicate when using a normal servo adapter.  I'm at work right now so I'll edit this post later, after I get a chance to look at mine and verify for sure which ones I swapped.

Hello Rodney, yes, I have heard the wires need to be switched when using the align sensor.  The gov sensor had 3 wires, red, black and white.  Black must be positive and red signal?  Not sure.  I'm using the ikon 1 with the governor port on the side, I cannot use the servo leads.

I'm still waiting on the kit, should be here in the next week or so.  It's the typical Pacific NW rainy season here, I've got majority of parts, and the Christmas decorations/ lights are put away.  It's kit building time!  And I've been flying the N5C exclusively on Real Flight for the past 2 months.

I got sick last week and forgot all about this.  I'll set myself a reminder to remember to take a look at mine.

The red and black need to be switched. Red to negative, black to positive, white to signal.

Yeah, I double-checked mine this morning but after thinking about it, that's really the only way that it could be since the signal line always has to be in the same position.

Fantastic, thank you both for checking.  Still waiting on my kit, I've heard it should be getting to Matt any day, then to me.

Weather sucks, I'm putting some serious time in on the Real Flight N5C model.  I did take the P380 out a few weeks ago though, which was nice.

The anticipation is KILLING ME.

Yea!!  Gonna be a blast to build and fly.  My 5 y/o daughter has a book titled "waiting is not easy". So true.
