766 Boomstrike issue
« on: April 26, 2018, 07:06:25 AM »
Hey guys,
Since the release u fly the 766. 2 months ago i had a boomstrike with 1800rpm in a hard maneuver. That time i only get a curb in the tailboom.
After this i mounted the short boom and some Edge 713 blades, so that fits better to my style of flying.
Yesterday i did ut again 2100rpm and a hard maneuver and *ping* i release all sticks while the Heli was inverted. Then it starts to spin. So i hit the Throttle hold and turn it to a soft landing in high grass.
Now i want to make the dampeners harder and mount 4 hard ones in the head.
Is anyone here that had the same problem?

This is the first report of a 766 boom strike I've come across.  Could you post your cyclic limit setup?

I cant say the max. Cylic angles. But my aileron and elevator rates are not very agressive. I flew the same with my N7 and 516.
Ive ordered my parts and go with a pair of new 716 rails and 4 hard dampeners in the head. I hope it works with that.
Another thing....? Is there a new 700 Electric planned from synergy? I would love to have a 516 style 700 bird.

Only time I have seen a boom strike on one of these is when Matt did. He did a blade stop and brought it out of hold. Blades folded and it went in from a few hundred feet.

Are your blades loose?
