E5 Motor Change
« on: January 20, 2018, 08:24:30 PM »
Hello everyone, I have a problem that is one for the books. My E5 developed motor bearing noise (KDE 600XF 1175 kv) I replaced it with the KDE 600XF G3 1100kv, replaced the pinion and main gear and reprogrammed the CC Edge Hv ESC. The bearing noise is gone only to be replaced with a heavy vibration in the tail rotor that comes and goes. Everything was smooth as could be on reassembly, no tail problems prior to new motor. This has me stumped and I could really use some help, Thanks.

Is the vibration at hover or in flight? The first thing that comes to mind would be your ESC Gov  gain since you mentioned you re-programmed. Are you running the Castle GOV? Is so check the Gov gain. Again first thing that came toind without other details.
Cheers
