Synergy E7se - two more flights
« on: June 29, 2013, 12:51:15 PM »
Finally made it out to the field for a bit. For those who don't know me personally, i fly big :) not always the most entertaining watching someone see how fast they can get going in loops and circles but hey, I love sport flying ;)

Still nice flying!  Wish I could get some flights in, my mother in law is on here way into town so I can probably only get flights in tomorrow and Monday morning when they are all asleep still.  Oh well, that is what the sim is for.

Great Job Chris!!  With 6 minutes of big air what is your batt mah replacement or % left in batt?  Was most of that flight with 2100 or less head speed?

Gary

Whole flight was at 2050.

At 6 minutes I am putting back around 3950mAh per pack. So around 80% used.

Wow, you drain them down hard.  I try to keep mine at the %30 level but if Pulse can handle it I'll push more.  Thanks.

20% isn't hateful if the pack is broken in well. I don't like going any lower than that!

I do 20% all the time with the TP and Gens Ace packs with no ill effects.

Agreed. I do it with 2 GensAce and 1 Hyperion pack and have no problems. 20% is the part of the 80/20 rule of charging so you'll be fine.

If you do have more left in your packs it doesn't hurt anything and you have the ability to fly slightly longer. Just don't go below 20% remaining aka if you find yourself putting more than 80% of the packs capacity back into the pack when charging you need to lower flight times at that point.

Great, its just that Im going to be running 4500 pulse.  They should be under the same rule of 80/20.  Thanks.

I have a custom set of 7s 4400s coming. They are nearly 200g lighter as a 14s stick than my 14 5000s. At least on paper. I am hoping with the lighter weight I will still be 5 minutes plus.

I was with Matt, Freddy, Richard L yesterday flying at Matt's Field, All I can say is his E7se is DIALED IN! My God what an impressive machine.. I can Say with the New Edition of the E7SE, that this bird is a lot better than the Standard E7 regarding the Gearing and Head, He was running 1950 head speed and it was just something else to see this heli take the abuse he was throwing at it.. This is one Solid Platform!! 716mm Mains, and 116's on the Tail. Cant wait to finish mine..
