Stick it on the end of a really long zip tie or pipe cleaner.

Just check to be sure there aren't any burrs in the skid from the holes.

Use an old fly bar. The pipe locks thread into the end. That is what I use. It is a 3mm fly bar.

A 4-40 threaded pushrod will also work.  Only need a couple of threads to engage in the nut.  I don't have any flybars ;D

Wow, now that's some hard core thinking there. Thanks guys and I do have a flybar hanging around somewhere. One question, could you get the set screw out of the top of the transmmsion?  The one that has the lock nut. Mine is in there and I don't want to strip the small allen set screw. I hope I understood the trans poision for the stock low head speed the trans should be pushed forward??? Thanks guys, I promise when I get this thing built I won't bother you again.

the flybar trick works Great! to add to that put a little piece of fuel tube on it and run the insert up against it, this will keep it from spinning as you insert through the skid.. ;)

Did you back the lock nut off first? That will help.

As for the transmission, yes the e7se stock ratio is 4.9:1 so push the trans all the way forward toward the nose.

Hi Alan

What do you think of using 110mm Tail Blades with Tail Ratio 4,5:1 Headspeed 1900 and 2100? Or rather increase Headspeed to 1950 as you have mentioned (with 106mm)?

Regards
Tom

You should be okay at1 900 with 106's. 110's would be fine also.
It also depends on you FBL unit and tail servo. I am using the CGY750 and a bls 256 which is a solid combination.
I would say try the 106's If that Is what you have. If the tail blows out bump it up to the 110's or 116's.

Cheers

I will use the Mikado-Vbar-Silverline with MKS HBL 980 on 7.4V.
I will give the 106 a try.
