now im sure you will of seen this before but i thought id share any way,,lowered the head today using the top hole in the headblock and also decided to do away with the washout block and mounted the arms directly onto the head,,i think it looks soo much better now and on the plus side its a lot sharper in the air and deffinately flips and rolls faster

Looks great. What size turnbuckles are you using? Are they from Ralph at FBL Rotors?
-
turnbuckles are from midland helicopters in the uk and are 16mill shorter than the standard synergy rods
-
Nick do you have the part number for them?
Thanks
Panos.

Did you use something as a spacer behind those arms? I would guess those arms would get stuck if no spacer is used between head and arm or am i missing something?
-
you can use either these

or these

yes you need to place a washer over the hole in the head block prefrebaly about 1.5-1.7 mill thick and a slightly longer bolt and make sure you retain the little 3 mill shim to go between the washer and the bearing in the washout arm,,dont be tempted to use a thin washer as it will bend inwards as you tighten it all up

Thank you for the info. I have to try this at some point. At the moment i still have washout block, but it doesn't really leave much room for adjustments.
Oh, I also found from RR that they've been using some Thunder Tiger motor washers (PV0107) for the purpose.

yeh but every where in the uk was out of stock of them ;)
