Low Head speed and Spirit FBL
« on: June 20, 2015, 02:58:23 AM »
Hi

Is anyone flying low head speed on an E7(SE) and also using a Spirit FBL?  If so I'd be keen on hearing what FBL settings you are using as well as the size of main/tail blades.

Thanks

I added revomix 8, and that helped settle the tail down a lot but it's still not perfect as the tail can still be kicked out a little on a full punch out.  Running 1050 head speed with 116 tails along with Jive 120 HV.

I run an ikon and 4.9:1 tail ratio @ 1200/1350/1500 head speed. My tail gain is about 20 points higher @ 1200 than at 1500. I am running 696 mains and 106 tails. With this setup (after some time tuning) I can do rock solid tail slides @ 1200 head speed. When I was running 1050-1100 head speed I had even more gain in the tail. I also spent quite a bit of time tuning my gov gain so the RPM was a consistent as it could be before I began tuning the tail. I haven't heard of the spirit FBL unit but I hope this helps.
