Good solution ... but like anything not without risk, as you are going to be pulling hundred+ time a year on those connector and cables.

I feel the same way about the switch though. If you look at lipos in the E5/E7 etc, we plug those in multiple times with no issue. I do ever so often push an allen driver into the centre of my (male) bullet connector to keep it tight on the female. No issues so far with hundreds of flights on lots of helis and (don't tell anyone....) planks!!

Yeah, I'm sure the connector thing works great but isn't using $5 worth of connectors instead a $60 switch kind of going against everything this hobby is all about?  ;D

Not really thought of it that way, but in EC5's etc we trust our lipos with huge currents flowing, so I'm more than happy just plugging in my 2s lipo direct via XT60's or perhaps EC3's.

This, I believe, is how the King of 3D Mr Curtis Youngblood flies all his heli's, he does not trust a switch. Simplicity is best.

I will be using the JEti DPS 40 failsafe switches on mine...

wow Alan i had never seen one of those. I might switch my plan. I like the Scott Grey products that switch is $100 less with great specs. straight 2s lipo is perfect for my servos.

I plan on using direct connection with the rx lipo with a EC3. No switches to fail.

I'm going to hard-wire mine with a generator then fly it for the rest of my life nonstop!

Really though haven't made up my mind. If I do use a switch it will be the one I linked in this thread.  Its a fail-safe electronic switch that's turned on by a magnet in theory it can never wear out. Plus I like the remove before flight thing dangling from it. 8)

Here is the JR failsafe Switch I will be using.

Comes with a Dean connector, connector for binding and dual outputs.

I simply replaced the Dean with an EC3 connector,  than removed the connector for binding and signal wire that is provided on one of the output cable for binding.

Switch is 'always' on - inserting the provided 'bind' connector will shut if off.
