Help. Is it normal for the swash plate to stop at this point on the main shaft?

No it's not normal, mine goes all of the way down until it touches the collar (with no linkages connected). Is there a burr/score/deformation of the main shaft at that point?

Just pulled the main shaft. Collar slides easily at both ends, when it gets to the middle it gets super tight. Guess the main shaft isn't correct. :(

Oh Bugger!! I wonder if it might be worth sending Matt an email to see if he has any spare ones laying around that he can send you to get you in the air asap?

I looked on mattbotos.com and it appears all of the spares for the N7 are now listed, so hopefully they are in stock and can help you out pretty quickly with a doa claim.

Tight tolerance on about an inch of the shaft. Got it sorted thanks to Alan (flyalan). He gave me a tip. He told me to take 800 Grit sandpaper and some oil and sand the spot. I ended up chucking the shaft in a drill to speed things up. Used 1500 grit last to polish it up. Took about ten minutes with the drill.

Thanks Alan. My weekend maiden is still on schedule!!
