Hello from England UK, I have had a E5 for a while , I like 700 size Heli flying at low RPM sport and Mild 3D , is it possible and good option to stretch my E5 to 700 size heli and fly low RPM happy to go 12S or stay with 6S , if so what do I need for stretch and recommendation for motor and pinion will be appreciated.

That's how i fly my E5 super stretch. Use a Scorpion HKIV 4035-560 motor with a 14T pinion and a Tribunnes 200A esc. Not that it needs 200A. It's just what i had and fits nicely. I fly on both 7s and 12s depending on my mood.  ;)

As far as the parts needed to stretch i installed a 54T /11T tail drive combo from a E7SE or N7. Both use the same gears. The tail is just the boom, torque tube, boom supports and tail control pushrod from a E7se/N7. You could fit a E7/N7 rotor head but flying low head speeds like i do the E5 rotor head works fine. I run 696 mains and 106 tails.

320-111H
320-154
315-120 boom
320-500 torque tube
315-117 boom support
315-111 tail push rod

You will also need TT bearings and ends for the TT. Ends for the boom supports, and pushrod.

I fitted a E7 canopy to mine, just to see what it looked like.

Thank you Chuck, I suppose I also need 5mm adapter for rotor head to use 690 blades ( 310-540 ) , could you please advice what RPM you flying at or what is a nice low RPM without causing issues

lae88:
I understand that the headspeed would be the function of battery cells say we go 12S , the main gear to pinion ratio I want to keep the 119 main gear and the motor KV so may be get gear ratio of around 10 for low rpm flying so use a 12 pinion and get motor with suitable KV to suit the low RPM ( around 1500 ) flying, also speed up the tail as adviced, just need to come up with suitable motor KV for 119/12 and 12S ? :-\

Despite the fact that is very difficult to get Synergy part in UK I got my E5 stretched to 700 got a HK 4035-450 motor  for it flow it yesterday at 1500 RPM I think can do at least 8 minutes with two 6S 5000mah batteries the heli weight is 7.35 Lbs without batteries but I think I can get is a bit lighter using different ESC , flies a bit different to high RPM 700 but with bit of adjustment will get use to it , so it can be done and it works.
