556 parts
« on: October 19, 2018, 10:01:40 PM »
Well I had the unfortunate event of crashing my newly built N556 into asphalt no less.
The field where I fly is dirt and asphalt.
O well  It did a terrible amount of damage as the battery wire unplugged in flight.

Ive been flying for years  but I got I a hurry and this is going to cost me good.  lol

Not to mention beat up a brand new heli.

I cannot find in the parts:
Landing gear struts
Fan Shroud
Skid Pipes
Main gear

If someone could point me in the right direction to a complete parts list I would apperciate the help.
Thank you
John

Sorry to hear about the crash!

Just look up the part numbers in the manual and search your vendor site by number. The N556 shares some parts with the 516, N5c and E5.

516-208 Landing Gear Strut
610-321 Skid Tube
610-343 Fan Shroud LEFT
610-342 Fan Shroud RIGHT
305-119 119T Main Gear

Bummer :(

Like Darren mentions, the easiest way to find parts is copy the part numbers from the manual and past them in search field of whatever site you're buying from.  It looks like Alan at https://www.helilids.com/ has all of those in stock, as does Matt's website https://www.mattbotos.com/store/.

Good Evening Rodney,

Sorry about the misfortunate event.  Yes!  The manual is a great resource for the correct part numbers for replacement parts that can be placed in you favorite ordering site.  Sorry to hear about the crash and hope you get your M556 back in the air soon.  Let us know how the rebuild and maiden flight went.

Respectfully,

Wayne Derrick
