Hello!
« on: September 19, 2011, 07:23:03 AM »
Hey everyone,

My name is Brandon Bartolomucci and I am the proud owner of a new N5c. I am now beginning my true addiction. Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. This is my first Syngery and I am now a believer. I finally got to maiden her after after having troubles with my first Beast X unit and I couldn't be more excited.

Thank you Synergy for creating what I define as a gift from above.
Regards,
Brandon Bartolomucci

Hey Brandon. Welcome to the forum! Glad you are loving your N5c. Any plans on an E6/7 in the future?

While I think they look like beautiful machines, I can't say I have any plans for one. The only electrics I have are a small 250 & 450. I love the smell of nitro in the morning. Plus with my lack of support equipment for electrics in my inventory I think it would be a while before I'll get into it.

I can't disagree with you on the nitro. I completely got out of them and went all electric for the majority of the summer. I couldn't hold back anymore tho, I had to get another nitro heli! Once it is in your blood, it tends to stick. As far a electric equipment, there are some chargers/ power supplies out there now that are very reasonably priced. Batteries are really not much more expensive than nitro... If you fly say 2 gallons a month for 5 months out of the year then your cost is about $300. Lipo batteries on large electrics will run you somewhere in the $300-500 range. Only difference is this cost is up front instead of spread out. Now if you buy more than one set or if you crash and ruin a set then yes the cost can be more expensive, but you also run the risk of ruining an engine or pipe in a crash which is also quite costly. Just something to think about. Hopefully you get a chance to check out an E6/7 in person sometime soon and get to see one fly.

Best regards,
-Steve
