N5cTT - WWWWOOOOOOOWWWW
« on: September 13, 2014, 06:04:44 PM »
Got 8 flights in on my new N5 today. All I can say is WOW! This is really a solid bird! Great flyer For me! My set up of the CGY750 was spot on and I am really impressed with every aspect of flying this helicopter. Flips and rolls were consistent and even though I haven't flown in so long I still managed some fast forward flight and inverted hovering. I ran a few dry runs for autos but never managed to muster the courage to flip the throttle hold switch.

Anyways, It is a great flying helicopter and I am glad I chose synergy for my re-entry into the hobby! And once again I would like to thank everyone on this board for the help getting this bird built! Special thanks to RodneyK for the GY750 help!

Nice!  That's so awesome that everything went so well. Great job on the setup. For being your first FBL setup and your first setup, period, in quite a while that's got to be a sweet feeling to get in that many flights on the day of the maiden. :D

Here are a couple of pics. I am adding them because I operate by the "if there are no pics it didn't happen" mantra.  ;D

Do it Barry. You will really kick yourself for waiting so long after you fly the N7..

Get it together Barry! I really want to hear about it once you get it flying! I've owned a couple of 90 size Nitros and will add one to my current fleet once I reach a certain point with my flying. If I was at that point today, I would add the N7. But then again I have always been somewhat of a fan of Synergy even since my days of flying the N9. ;)

I love my N5c! I have been buying all the parts to build an N7 (engine FBL servos etc.) I just need to sell my other electric to fund the airframe.

Fortunately? I'm to busy with my business to put the N7 together right now. It's like a fine wine sitting there calling my name. LOL I've been switching to Futaba 14sg and tuning the E5 and E7.
I will continue to pick up parts for the N7. Still need a starter, fuel pump, fuel, push glow and some other bits.

Yup, getting all the flight gear together for nitro can definitely be a pain! The good thing is, once you have it you're done. I really do want to hear about the N7 once you get it airborne. I know that I've had several 50's in my day and the N5 is definitely the cat's meow of everything I have flown! So I imagine the N7 will hold the same or similar place among the 90 size birds.

If you get a push glo you have to get the twist lock pigtail and the little tool it is awesome.  For a starter I use the torque master 90 and the thunder tiger hex driver with a 3s lipo velcro'd to the starter (just cut the aligator clips off and put your choice of connector on the wires), I use a simple hand crank pump. I think I got all of this and a few other bits from Amain for less than 100$

Orr you could trade your N7 airframe with me for a blade 600x with the bright orange canopy, 4 pulse packs, 2 gens ace packs. H6040 H6080g servos, castle edge 80hv, bec, and a few other parts and you wouldn't have to put it together ;) lol I know you wouldn't be interested. Just throwing it out there.
