Title: Alittle Bit Of Rail lovin
Post by: Kevin Feil on September 13, 2015, 11:51:16 PM
Made it to the field today, flew more today than I have in 4 years combined. Pretty sad but today was a blast flying with ol Eldred, weather was awesome.

Nice blade art. I also like the N7 canopy.

You're supposed to do that to crappy blades!  At least it shows that the Rail blades will definitely handle a lot of abuse.

Oh, you must be referring to these Danny 😁 I will be installing another set of these as well. For the record, anytime I do this, especially if I fly down our (concrete runway inverted pushing the blades, I always rebuild the heli main shaft and all. I only do it when there is a crowd ( plankers and younger kids) at the field and they get a kick out of it, Show them what a synergy can do.. Only problem, I bombed my #1 N7 doing the same trick and didn't have good results, price you pay showing off. 😎

Suppose I finally joined this club... Didn't really like the initiation tho to be honest... Scratched up blades, head, grips, & striped the main gear... Tear down will determine other damage if any... Plus side is I saved it! Can't believe she lifted up for me to roll & auto down.. Do I get a badge, hat, or something? Lol

one of the few maneuvers I just wont do. hovering inverted is just as impressive (in my eyes) 2-3" off the ground, I don't need to be digging in the dirt! lol

I wasn't hovering... Inverted piro'n pitch pumps that got a little too low & too happy! Lol

Nice job Clay!  We'll have to let Kevin determine if there's a patch or club membership since he's the head nut around here when it comes to blade scraping.

I inverted pitch pumped a TREX700 into the ground 2 years ago. Luckily it went into tall grass which sucked the bird in. Took at least 20 minutes to free the head from all the wound up grass. The price of showing off! ;)
