Ball sizing tool
« on: November 24, 2014, 03:56:22 PM »
Hello All,
I have a question regarding the synergy ball sizing tool,  to install the sizing too I but the link on the table against a hard piece of foam. To remove I ply the cutter away, not sure if this is the correct way but a lot of force is used to break it free. Some of the links still appear to have small pieces of plastic left on them. Can I can some info on the correct way to use this tool.
Thanks Jeff

I use the ball link pliers to put the link on and take it off.  Make sure you put the correct end in first.  I believe the end with the circle on it should go on the sizer tool first.

I also use ball link pliers to snap the link onto the Boto-sizer and remove them.

This is how I do it:

1) Place plastic link on a wood clip board (from Staples) on the work bench
2) I insert the Boto-Sizer into the plastic ball link
3) I turn the Boto-Sizer CW and CCW on the plastic link at 90° angle to the link
4) I remove the Boto-Sizer off the plastic link with the Ball Link Pliers.
5) I remove the plastic flashing off the plastic link with my finger nails and finally with a Q-tip.
6) I test the plastic link on the matching ball for smoothness.
7) If not satisfied with smoothness, I repeat the process.
