Hi folks,
Just picked up a N5c for Christmas and began building. Got a Hyper 55 for it, some
HV MKS servos, haven't yet decided which FBL unit. Gonna have some questions, looking
forward to chatting with ya'.

Bill.

Welcome to the synergy family! You will love the N5c. My first nitro and already my favorite to fly!

Welcome Bill!
That's a great combo.
As far as FBL units I suggest you check with your local flyers if this is your first one. Helps to have experience close at hand. I have flown just about all of the units out there.  No really a bad one in the bunch.  For nitro the CGY750 is awesome. What radio do you have?

Cheers
Alan

Yes welcome and congrats on your heli! I agree that there's not really a flybarless unit that will serve you wrong. I can advise that I am using the standard BeastX on my N5c and it has performed flawlessly although I am in the minority as most use an alternative system.

We will all be glad to assist where we can so don't hesitate to ask any questions or share your experience!

Thanks guys. Really looking forward to this machine. I'm currently flying an Align 600n with
Beastx. I bought a new Ikon for the Synergy, but..., If things work out I may be looking at
a new Futaba 14SG,(flying DX8 now), and if I go Futaba, will probably try the 750. A buddy of mine uses that and really likes it with the newest firmware update. So, not sure right now.

The new CGY750 firmware rocks. If you fly Futaba the CGY750 is definitely the way to go. The governor works well. Changing gains and head speeds is painless right from the radio.

Cheers

Hello again and thanks for the nice welcome! This is such a cool place.
Wasn't sure about something, and thought I'd ask here.
Is it okay to ask a question, for example about throttle servos, in someone else's thread about throttle servos, or should I start my own thread to ask? (this is kinda after the fact)

Bill

Generally you wouldn't want to take the thread off topic, but if your question is relevant to the original thread's question, post away.  But starting your own thread is always an option!

Off topic posts, or thread jacking, happens everyday, it's part of the forum life :) don't be afraid to post here. We welcome the questions, and would love to help!
