Just built a E5

Hi everyone.  My name is Mark.  I am new to the heli scene.  I purchased a used T-rex 500 from a local hobby shop that I frequent. I started to try hovering it in my front yard and I was doing good.  After letting one of my club members fly/crash it I realized what a pain it was trying to find parts for a mutt heli.  Previous owners made upgrades to the heli.  I realized what a piece of junk it was.  After going to pitchfest and seeing quality helicopters I realized I needed a Synergy heli.  I went out and bought a E5.  After a couple of weeks I had it built and with the help of Eric Lewis from King Kong Hobbies we got it hovering today.  After all the enjoyment I had building my E5 now I am debating on putting together a E7 or a nitro Synergy heli.

Welcome Mark. I am sure another Synergy will be in your future after some flights on the E5. They are an addiction. :-)

Welcome Mark! And yes you will figure out sooner or later Alan is a Synergy Crack Head. He is an addict.... He just won't admit it because he hasn't hit rock bottom yet...

Oh, and Mark... I'm extremely jealous of you because you obviously have an LHS (Eric @ King Kong Hobbies) who knows what he's doing.  The Synergy team is awesome, and having them as a resource on the internet is great but nothing like having local expertise!

congratulations! :) but if you are just in hovering stage, are you sure you want to learn on such big and nice heli? :) for me best learning tool was mcpx bl... cant beat putting it in full speed inverted, dusting it off and keep flying...

I'am also new to Synergy. I've just started building my E5. The first feeling with the precision and tolerance of parts is making me delighted.  I am sure we will forget the tinkering we were used to with align.
