I meant to introduce myself two years ago when I purchased my N5c just after meeting Matt & Amy at IRCHA 2012 but now that I have just become a Team Synergy member I figure it's a must.
Within 3 quick months of maiden flying my N5c I acquired my second Synergy, an E7, then most recently at IRCHA 2014 I just couldn't turn down the opportunity to get an E5, which I enjoy as much if not more than my other two. Something about just grabbing a couple battery packs, my transmitter and almost tossing the E5 in the car to get a couple of quick flights in at the field has become a thing of preference. Don't think I'll ever get rid of my nitro though (although I remember claiming I'd never mess with that electric stuff either, haha!)
I am in the auto repair business and find the helicopter mechanisms fascinating and feel that my experience when applied to my helis keeps them safe & reliable at the field.
My flying skills are steadily improving, just breaking into inverted flight, I probably don't spend enough time on the simulator but I do fly just about every weekend, enough to feel I'm not going backwards at least. Fortunately NC offers up some pretty mild days through the winter months.
I am excited to be a part of a great team to learn a bunch and share a little of what I know if I can help in any way.
See you around!
Bob
