12-13 pinions availabilty
« on: October 19, 2011, 05:53:24 AM »
Do you know when these pinions are going to be available?
I think my steup is "a little bit" overkill -> Scorpion 4035-500, Hyperion 12S 4500.
If I use the headspeed calculator from RH, it says:
(calculated for 100% throttle curve)
Hover RPM at beginning of flight: 3047
Hover RPM at middle of flight: 2807
Hover RPM at end of flight: 2709
Thanks

Just got a 12t and 13t pinion.

You'll most likely need a 12t.

I'm running a 12t on a Xera 4035-500kv motor, 2150 hs on 70% Jive 120 hv  on E7.

Maybe with CC ICE you will, since it's rated lower than Kontronik, that a 13 tooth will suite your needs, need to check in ESC programming.

Picked up a Hacker 470 in the meantime while the pinions are still en-route. Performs good but I'm still wanting to try the 4530-500 out. Those who have the 12-13T, where have you guys found the pinions?

4cyclic, how is the fit with that motor?  Planning on picking up one myself.

Oh and what kind of flight times are you getting?  What batteries?

Xera motor fits perfect in E7, so is 12t pinion. It meshes without any mods. I did not even cut the shaft, as it is a longer than needed for the support bearing.
