E5SS Question
« on: August 13, 2015, 11:23:51 AM »
Hey guys,
I am thinking about pulling the electronics from my Compass 6HVU some day and putting them in a Synergy E5SS.

Here's my setup on the 6HVU.

-Custom Wound KDE 600XF 530Kv Power Monster.  Produces 4000W constant and can do bursts over 9000W.

-Castle 120HV

-KST DS725MG Cyclic

-BK 7005 Tail Servo

-Full Size Blueline Vbar

-12s 3300mAh LiPos

So the question is, can I transfer all of these electronics over to a Synergy E5SS and have a hard 3D machine?  I have no doubt the motor and ESC are ok, but should I go with bigger batteries?  I would prefer something that doesn't have a ridiculously low disc loading like 9lb AUW or something because I want something that can be smacked around fast, so I'm thinking I should maybe move to 4400mAh 12s or something?

my 626m stretch was great on 3300ma packs. I would imagine a SS would be too light. I see most guys running 4000-4400ma packs in them. me personally, I would run 5000ma packs in mine as long as they will fit. I prefer a slightly heavier disk loading than most.

My E5SS is running with Kontronik gear and the mini-v. With 5000mAh batteries my AUW is 10.5Lbs. The disk loading by the numbers is equivalent to a nitro at full tank with 716mm main blades. My motor weighs around 350 grams. What is the weight of your motor?
