Hi people!
I've been into RC helis for about 15months now.
Have progressed to doing circuits, fig 8s and generally keeping my flybarred 450 from eating dirt.
I've just closed a deal on a pre-loved (1 flight old), E5 airframe, which is the heli I've been wanting for some time. I've already stripped the frame and will progressively strip and rebuild the entire flight system as well.
I plan to build it up as a 6S 550, and will most likely use a Scorpion HKIII 4025-1100 motor and Ikon/Brain flybarless system. Speed controller, servos and batteries are yet to be decided.
So I'm happy to be here with a top class heli to build.
Look forward to talking about the E5 as the build progresses.
Cheers

Congratulations on your new E5. It is very well engineered with high quality parts, and looks good in the air. Your proposed setup on 6S with the Scorpion 1100Kv motor and ikon FBL unit has a proven track record.
Consider your options for LiPo's. Smaller and lighter 4400-4500 mah packs make the heli more nimble, but you get shorter flight times. Larger and heavier 5000-5500 mah packs give you longer flight times.
Hope you get your new E5 in the air soon.

Thanks curmudgeon.
I'm already enjoying the E5. Love the quality of the design and manufacture of the parts.
It may take a bit of time for me to get the build completed.
But believe me, it won't take any longer than it has to.
I'm really looking forward to flying this bird.
I already have question posted on the forum and I know I'm in the best place to talk about aspects of the build right here.
cheers
