Title: Auto Clutch Lubrication
Post by: Kandy04 on June 24, 2018, 11:42:54 PM
I have a 766 Gasser and I recently noticed that the auto clutch is not as free as it was.
I used TriFlow Grease in it when I assembled the kit. I'm just wondering if I should have used something thinner?

Any thoughts?

I've always used Tri-flow oil in a one way bearing. I imagine any lite machine oil would work though. The manual states using grease on the delrin shims that ride against the bronze bushings for the one way hub. But use oil in the one way. Do not use grease.

I have heard some guys using ATF. I just use a 3and1 oil like machine oil thin. Cliff
