Hello from Charleston SC
« on: July 16, 2013, 09:43:45 AM »
Hello everyone my name is Daniel Tureac and I am a new owner of a Synergy N5C. I hope to to have it ready by this weekend.   I got to say very impressed with the line of Synergy Heli. Kevin Mcgrady fellow club member has always promoted the synergy line at our club so finally I cave in and bought one :) happy flying and I look forward to meeting some of the synergy owners at some of the eastern fun flys.

Welcome to the family Daniel!  The N5 was my first Synergy.  You will love the N5C!  Good luck on your maiden.

Cheers

Thank you everyone..... its been about a year in the making as far as me and helicopters. I used to be a planker and after meeting Kevin McGrady i decided to go exclusive Helis. I've been in the model world for about 23 years i started back in europe with control line models. I am glad that i have progressed to helis and to be honest i dont think i would be where i am today with out the help of team pilots like all of you or even company owners like Matt Botos.  I am glad i finally made the jump to get a N5C because ive seen so many of them in person and i know for a fact that they are great helis. Not to mention stoping by Kevins house while he was building his E7 and E5s i did nothing but wish i bought one :)   well once again thank you and alan we hope to see you at heli extravaganza :)

OOOps forgot to add the Club thank yous :)   I am definitly proud of  Ladson Renegade Rotor Club we established only about a couple of months ago. We are still in the beginning of a long journey we have ahead of ourselfs. It took all the members to help start this heli only club but without the help of board members i.e Kevin Mcgrady(club treasurer) we couldnt have made it so far. We are definitly pinching pennies and we hope to have carports for shade soon. Our goal is to have our first Chuck Town Heli Fun Fly by next year sometime. We would like to do it sooner but we still have some work to do. If any of you are in the Charleston SC  area and want to fly some helis call me 843-367-5721 we will gladly have any of you as guests.

You know funny story about this..Daniel having flown planes for years, and swearing he'd never give up planes completely, he transistioned to helis at an excellerated rate.  From the time he started with zero crashes in over 120 flights with his former Trex 600n, that he sold to get that N5c, it left us all stumped as to why we had so much trouble and crashing every other flight when we were learning.  I've been in the heli side of the hobby for a little over 4 years now and within 1 mth together Daniel and Matt graced the pages of AMA magazine in the article of the first annual HeliExtavaganza! LOL.  He attributes this to my teachings as to the reason for his success, but truthfully, in my short years of doing this I've never seen anyone take to helis like a fish to water..just remarkable!

**Pretty fun to see Matt do some mild 3D with a T600n with training gear on it! LOL.

**another funny side note..in that photograph of Daniel and Matt, Daniel was borrowing my fathers Align starter..so he called and said "hey thats my starter, thats my starter!!!" LOL pretty funny.

I am going to Charleston next weekend to see my brother for his Birthday.

Are there any cool RC Helicopter shops or Hobby shops with an extensive selection of Heli stuff?  We do not have any around here in the Upstate of SC that I am aware of. . .

No there are not any Hobby stores that entertain Hei's and parts minus the micro Blade stuff.  Theres a Hobbytown in Mt Pleasant and West Ashley, and theres one way out in the sticks of Ridgeville Frontline hobby or something guy named Fred runs the place VERY airplane specific.
