I love it when it's something simple.

My main bearing didn't come today so i am holding off in electronics setup. But that is basically all that is left.

Tail is built and test fitted. Left it off while dealing with the head. Easier to maneuver around my work bench that way.

Couldn't resist. Put the tail on to pose her for a picture.

OK well I have a new problem. The tail control rod linkage won't go on. It hits the Regulator on the carb...

Anyone else have a OS 55HZ-R on theirs that can give me some advice?

Look on page A43 of the manual. The note on the side there says to put the outside pivot ball on top of the Offset Bell Crank instead of the bottom when using an OS55HZ motor . Did that on mine and the rod fits on just fine.

Already did that :) It was still touching, but rotating the Carb about 3 degrees fixed it right up :)

Ok so help me understand something. Ordered the last couple things I needed from ExperienceRC on Saturday. They promptly ship on Monday. I have tracking info by noon.

Here is where things get funny. I live in Columbus Ohio. ExperienceRC is in Michigan. I didn't bother checking the tracking because things always come in two days by priority mail. When the stuff didn't come in yesterday, i checked the tracking this morning. Shows it left Michigan on monday night. Nothing scanned Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon it is scanned in at the Huntington Alabama sorting facility??? As of now it shows it left Alabama at 6pm last night and nothing new.

Can someone explain to me why a package from Michigan bound for Ohio would go to a routing facility in Alabama??

No wonder the postal service can't make money.....

Vent off.

It might have come from Synergy direct, if Experiance did not have the part. It is odd that Experience RC would not have it.

Man that's crazy. I have never ever had a bad experience with the postal service but I can fully see why you'd be upset. That's ridiculous.

At the end of the day, it came. Priority mail is 2-5 days, so technically they made it.  Just an odd route for sure!

Looks real good Chris, I would recommend tossing a header tank on it as well for extra insurance but not needed.  The quick UK tank and mounting equipment is what I used, looks really clean.  Just make sure if you do get a header tank to remove any flashing where the fuel tubing connects.

Also, please tell me you used new fuel line for your clunk line and not what came with the kit.  I used new line everywhere but the clunk line and 7 flights in the fuel tubing in the tank split.  Thankfully I saw my header tank draining before the main and was new something was up.  Motor cut out right as I saw it and a baby auto saved the heli.

Have you considered just using a a Fuel Magnet and no header tank? I have good luck with that setup. Simpler than using a header tank and fewer places that can  develop a leak.  Most of the folks I fly with regularly have ditched the header tank.  Just a thought...

Cheers
Alan
