swash grub screw
« on: February 10, 2014, 12:09:39 PM »
hi guys,
i answered a post on h/f about swash movement, another guy came in saying the grub screw in the swash is to remove free play.

interested by this as to how a grub screw removes play in the swash, anyone care to explain?
thanks,
chris.

The grub screw should be tightened last.  I loosen the grub screw and then tighten the clamp bolt.  Most folks are reluctant to tighten this down enough but that is what it is there for.  I then tighten the grub screw to the point of binding then back it off just a bit. At least this has worked for me... This should take care of a slightly loose swash.

Cheers

Alan
