I'm considering building a 766....well, it's done just waiting on the next shipment. lol
Anyway, I am considering flying as an 806 on 12S. I have a scorpion 4525-520 Ult. and CC 160 HV on hand. Will this power system handle the 806 configuration? Please advise....
Thanks!

That is the exact setup Matt tested his 806 with. For smooth 3D mild hard 3D it's great.

Did he use the stock 13T Pinion and headspeed suggested in the manual?
-
I believe so but I never asked him what headspeeds he ran on 806.

I pulled the trigger and received the kit this week! Thanks, Alan! I rethought my set up and decided on this:
766 Config on 12S
1600-1800 Contemplated Head Speed
Pyro 750-50 Comp
13T Pinion
25T Tail Gear
Kosmik Cool 160 (because the non cool was not in stock anywhere)
Futaba BLS272' and BLS276
CGY750

Dang man, you aren't playing around! Love it!!
Let us know how the build goes, and we want pictures. Lots and lots of pictures!

Haha...thanks Chris and I will! I'll be watching your build videos as well. Thanks for putting those together! Great job!
I want to keep the Gobby in tact since that was my first build and I learned to fly on it (I'm a sentimental sort) and I really like the Kontronik stuff since putting it in my E5SS, which I am loving!!! After comparing power output of the Pyro 750's to the Scorp 4525 the comp version matches the 4525 at 4500W.

Sweet setup! You'll be happy with the Pyro.

Thanks, Danny! Are you coming to the Spring Fling in Fredericksburg?
-
Of course, it's one of my favorite events of the year :)

I'm going to try to make it down Friday and/or Saturday. I start a new job April 4th, so I'm not sure how I will be able to work my schedule. On Wed. and Thurs. of that week I'm taking lessons with Todd Bennett and my boss knows about that but taking all day Fri and Sat may be stretching it......we'll see.

Welcome to the 766 club Dean, glad to have you aboard brother..😎

Thanks, Kevin! It's a beautiful design! Can't wait to start the build! I'm waiting on the 25T tail gear to come in. My target head speed is 1600-1800. I emailed Matt and he said the parts should be available in about 2 weeks.

Can anyone tell me....Should I use the long balls on the inner swash with the CGY750 on this build?
-
the 766 swash and head geometry does not require the use of long balls.
-
Whew! I'm glad I asked! Thanks, Mike!

My build is coming along pretty well. I have everything ready to put in the frame just waiting on the 25T tail gear, which should be here soon! Yay! 8) :)
