$40 Aussie dollars for anyone over this side of the planet!

I'm going to make a nylon insert for mine so that I can direct mount it onto the shaft like the Sullivan one does and remove the chance of it flying off when using the cone.

Hi Steviepoo,  Where you buy the Hirobo start shaft?  I just can't find it ...... :-\

I'm in Germany so I ordered one locally from world-of-heli.de. Through rcferret.co.uk I found one in stock in the states here: http://www.rchover.com/2513-053-ONEWAY-STARTER-SHAFT-p/3121.htm

Thanks Stevepoo.  Any one knows where can I find it in US or Canada? .......

I have been looking for a Hirobo start shaft in the US but everyone is out of stock. Anyone know where I can get one from without having to pay international shipping?

Not trying to derail where this conversation is at currently, but, I bought a JR extension for my Dynatron.  It mounts directly to the starter shaft.  I'm really not liking it at all because it's not dead straight and it vibrates like crazy.  I wanted to go away from the one I had that fits in the rubber cup but now I'm thinking maybe it's not so bad since the rubber dampens vibrations.  I was 100% sure I didn't want to spend $100 on the Sullivan one-way shaft but now I have decided to not entirely rule it out.

I like the Sullivan with the owb.  Just keep the OWB oiled with something light weight.
No vibe issues...

Does MRC still distribute Hirobo in the U.S.?  If so they may have them in stock.

One of the LHS in Columbus, OH (Hurricane Hobbies) used to stock a lot of Hirobo stuff.  It's a long shot but he may still have one and be willing to ship it.

Another option is RC Japan.  The entire one way assembly is only $28 and the replacement shaft is $14.  Get a few people together and split the shipping and that would be the cheapest option.  I would even contact Ralph at FBL to see if he would order some.

If going the RC Japan way - the K&S 2122 is a bit more expensive ($50) but very well made (using it for the pass 5 years)
