Title: New Lab
Post by: cml001 on January 27, 2017, 08:56:55 AM
Hey guys... need some help please. I'm being kicked out of my Lab/heli room. Since my son left for college I have been using his room in the basement for my lab. Being that it is still stocked with furniture and I only have a 40" computer desk to wrench on.. its hard to work on stuff in such a tight spot. Now however, wifey wants that room to be a usable guest room(lol.. I have a 72" Yak54 on the bed).. sooo I get a new space outside the room in the basement where my man cave is.. used to be the kids media/play area. This is great for me tho.. I think wifey thought my passion for helis would fade but didn't want to see all the stuff so she suggested the bedroom to start with.. now she sees I need the space. Anyway.. I've started to build a new workbench and am about to start a heli hanger for the wall.. I don't have a 766 kit just yet and need a measurement to build my hanger.. so I need the measurement of a 766 from the rear of the skid pipe to the tip of the nose with the canopy installed and the skids mounted per the manual. The measurement is needed so I may hang the 766 as close to the ceiling as possible. Here is an example pic of the needed measurement.. thanks guys!

About 19.5" - say 20 to be safe.

Thanks for the help guys.. I've almost got the Lab & man cave finished... this is way better than working on a little 30 something inch computer desk.. now I have to clean up all the useless junk in the corner! excited to work in the Lab.
