I have a spray can of silicone lube form the hardware store.  I spray a bit down the inside of the tail tube before inserting the torque tube.  Works great!

How often are you guys using Boto lube on your main(and other) gears?

Once I did use it on my E5 main gear, I may do it again but I haven't noticed any detrimental effects by running it dry. I use it in the thrust bearings and that's it so far.

I'm with Chris on this, I use a Touch of TRI-FLOW on mine. Not a lot but just enough to still have a good amount of Drag as I measure and set the TT Carrier Bearings.. I have never had a problem with them Migrating. I took an old TT from a Trex and Marked it on both ends to simulate a GO-NO GO gauge. this helps me get the carrier bearing set dead on every time with no effort. Very quick and easy. Good luck.

I used moly Kote in the beginning and then once again around flight number 250 or so.  The gears won't eventually wear down will they, or is it something that periodically has to be replaced like bearings?
