Hi and thanks for the warm welcome. I was asked where in Texas I live, and I live in Fort Worth. I would have had a maiden voyage by now, but I had a green thread lock "mishap" with my one way bearing.
Part is due to arrive tomorrow so I can't wait. I am impressed with the quality of the kit and can't wait to get it up in the air. Instead of searching forum topics, if anyone has a comment to 2 questions I have, I would be grateful.
1. I applied teflon shrink wrap but it would bind with control rod guides, start to tear, so i removed it. Hope that wont cause any vibration issues.
2. I did not measure control rod before I epoxied the ends to it, and using an MKS DS 760p servo, I cannot obtain 90 degree angles on tail and servo unless I have maybe 3 turns of a ball link. I bought a bunch of spare parts including control rod, but before I do, has anyone else ever experienced this? At risk of sounding a bit stupid I decided to ask and see if anyone has an opinion.
On a final note, my new favorite tool is the Botosizer. Assembling linkages are actually fun now!
Hope to have all finished tomorrow. Maybe a cool video to follow.........
