Tail control rod / heat shrink sleeves
« on: June 05, 2012, 11:39:28 AM »
I have the two sleeves shrunk up tight on the rod and it will not fit through the holes in the guide.

What am I missing here?

:'( got it sorted.  I was sliding the rod in at a slight angle because I was too lazy to pickup the tail and slide it straight in.

Glad you got it sorted. I shrunk mine on after I slid it through the guides and it seemed to work so far.

Just need cyclic servos , fuel and an order to come in the mail and I'm ready to set the 750 up and fly.

Who has some servos for sale?  8)

I think I saw a couple sets of 8717 servos over on RunRyder that some people were selling if you're not looking for high voltage. Or a few places online have brand new 3 combo packs for 349.00 of the 8717s.

I've always liked 8717s but for $40+ I can get the Torqs to match my tail server (9188) and at that point step the throttle down and run everything on a 2s lipo...

I've had decent luck with Align 610s on 6v on the economical end and really want to try Futaba standards.  Either the new hvs or the trusty bls 451...

I've not checked runryder and rcg classifies in a while so I'll definitely check to see what's there.
