Quick UK magnet front canopy mounts

I mooched the long pair of Quick Magnet mounts From Johnhamelhv. He had used the shorter ones for the front canopy mount those were 18.86mm long.

The ones I got were the other pair from a set and were 20.86mm long.

I had spaced out the port side front mount on mine to get clearance for the main gear by 2mm so I figured these might work.

They do and they work great.

I had done a little judicious warming of the canopy before anyway but now it's about perfect.

I was able to remove the tail blade shims I was using.

So if you have a buddy with an E5 you can split a set of these and it works out great.

I like the pictures.  Just for completion, we are talking about the QuickUK 700N magnetic mounts set, TX7F-05, that comes with 4 studs, two 18.86mm and two 20.86mm studs.  As mentioned by shadco, both work fine as E5 front canopy mounts.  I am using the 18.86mm studs, but I had previously performed the canopy mod with the Dremel to avoid canopy-gear contact.



The inner canopy magnet will add another 3.60mm.

I have the same set-up on my E5, E6 and E7, works great.

I bought a set of the 700N and I used one pair on the front of the E5 and one pair on the front of the E7.
