My GensAce 2s 4000 showed up today, think I have bought the wrong pack!!

It has 2 18awg wires going to a Spektrum Tx plug!! This thing is ideal for a Tx like the DX8/9, but no way are those cables going to take 4 HV servos each capable of pulling 4-5A each!!

So I either sell it on, or I open it up, and solder a pair of 14awg wires to it, to an XT60.

Oops.. Yeah they make a couple of versions.  One with the DX8/9 connector and another with 16GA and the spectrum plug and a balance port.  Mine is marked B-RX-40002S1P .

Mine is marked B-TX/RX-4000-2S1P

The power leads are the same size as the balance leads. They are just to small for a HV Rx pack.

I have in the past opened up the end of Turnigy packs to remove their 6awg wire from a 30c 3s!! and replaced it with a more suitable wire gauge. Tis a shame to cut this nicely wrapped lipo up though.

Just thought, is it a full size throttle servo, or midi like the N5c?

Thanks, so I have Futaba HV servos on Cyclics and tail, should I put say a BLS451 on the throttle, or a std servo and a drop down inline voltage reg?

I like my throttle servo to match my cyclics... So I have 4x bls272. Little over the top, but the N7 deserves it!

Pre-ordered mine from Fast Lad UK, also ordered VBar Silverline with 2 x Spektrum sats, will use a Spektrum Backplate RPM Sensor on an OS Max105HZ, Vbar governor is very good I hear.

Servos are MKS HBL665 x 3 + HBL669 Rudder and a mini MKS HV9767 for the throttle, save a few grams there.
Also ordered a Perfect Regulator Duo Pro switch for the Glo and RX switch, prefer to connect the battery for the day but leave the canopy on between flights.

Probably use a 3800mA 2S pack for the electronics.

Not flown Nitro Heli's before, really tempted by this one, have the E7 and a TDR so should be interesting, last fired a nitro up 20 years ago!

Not long now  ;D

Picked up a TP 3800 Rx lipo as the Gens Ace was not the correct one, it had just a Tx plug on it. Luckily fast Lads allowed me to return it for a credit against the TP.

Just a throttle servo needed, but have some BLS451's here, and they are fine is straight 2s, so guess I'll go that route.

Busy times, as my E7se is being built as well at the mo!!

Late to the party, but here is what I'll be putting in mine........

Spektrum 7110R
Spektrum TM1000
Beast X
OS 105HZ
Hatori SB22
Outrage 3600 2S receiver pack
Align DS610 throttle servo
Rail 696/106 blades

Cyclic and tail servos are still under consideration.  Tail will probably be a Torq BL9188 and cyclic will either be the Torq BL9180 or some JR 8717HV's.

Thanks Matt!  To say I'm excited to see more nitro machines in the air this year is an understatement.  Long live nitro........
