Title: Speed up gear for tail

At what head speed does one need the speed up gear for the tail?  My flying style is on the smooth 3D side and I like to keep my head speed on the lower end to increase flight times.  I know that this is bit of a gray area.  I'm just seeing if there is a general consensus. Thanks.

Look on the last page of the manual all the setup info is there. It call for the 25 tooth below 1850.
