N5C Vbar NEO PITCH! Worried!

<< < (2/3) > >>

LWilliams1214:
Lowering the pitch curve in the transmitter won't give you any adverse effects. Last I checked on my setup I was down to about 65-70 for my collective end points and above 80 in the vbar NEO software. It sounds like you're good to go.

J Anthony:
Great. Thanks.. Yes Matt the balls are 10mm out from the servo bolt hole. I remembered you telling me that in Huntsville. I just didn't know if I would confuse the VBAR by lowering pitch curves in the TX. Right now my curves in the TX are at 69 on each end and the slider in the software is on 100 and I've got 12 degrees of pitch. If the pitch curves in the radio are fine being lower then I should be good. I just wasn't sure. Thank you all very much. Now I just have to figure out the nitro gov. YAY!

J Anthony:
Just read this from the Vbar website if anyone was still interested. Just to confirm what L said, they say it's fine to lower the pitch curves in the TX to get the correct pitch range. From Vbar manual...
"Adjust collective travel...
Please set the desired collective travel here. The range for this is optimal between 80 and 100. You may reduce (but not increase) the pitch values later in your transmitter using the pitch curve function, e. g. if you measure different angles for maximum positive and maximum negativ collective. Check that your transmitter output doesn‘t exceed 115 % of travel in any case." Thanks again everyone. I'm sure I'll be back in a few days when I really try to figure out the nitro gov. I've thought about just throwing the Align gov from my old 600N on it. It's not as good, but damn it's simple. I'm old enough now I'm all about some simple. :) Thanks guys.

LWilliams1214:
If you need any help setting up the governor shoot me a pm. It's really not that difficult to get setup.

J Anthony:
Thank you L. I'm sure I'll hit you up this weekend if you don't mind. I'm not used to any of the terminology of Vbar and I don't think I'll ever be certain of the terminology of Futaba. L. I love my 18SZ but it's wording and menu structure are very odd things.
