Where have you mounted your onboard pack.

Hi Guys,
Trying to work out the best place to mount my onboard lipo.
I'm setting up my first HV set up and am going to use a 2s 1900mAh flight pack.
Where have you mounted your onboard pack.

Hi,

When i ran a seperate Rx pack i strapped it to the top of the front lipo, that way it was always removed with the main lipos after a flight and able to charge off the heli.

I have seen them strapped to the side of the main frames, under the ESC plate.

I have recently moved onto using a Gryphon Quasar 75v BEC and Scorpion Back-Up Guard, just for simplicity and ease of charging etc...

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Ross

Thanks for the reply Ross, all my other Helis have been 6v set ups so I've used a BEC.
This will be my first HV set up. I will look at mounting the onboard on top of the main pack, sounds like a good idea.

Cheers.

I started with 2S 2200 lipos strapped to the side frame up front.  I have also moved to Internal and External BEC's (depending on what ESC used) and a Scorpion BUG.  I also like the Gryphon BEC's.  Very reliable IMHO.

Cheers

I get 6 good flight out of a 1300, and its mounted on the driver side top rear of the frame by all the radio gadgets. I choose this place for the least wire running as possible. Also with the motor I have it seems a little nose heavy without the flight batteries in it.
