Title: E7 SE Transmission mounting holes
Post by: flyalan on October 08, 2013, 06:55:47 PM
I would like to clear something up.  I have heard the term "slotted" being used to describe the transmission mounting holes on the SE.  I have two SE's.  They are ELONGATED ever so slightly not slotted.
The fore/aft movement necessary to accommodate the different gear ratios is very minimal. Use of the word slotted would indicate significant for aft movement.  This is not the case and not necessary.

Cheers
Alan

I believe I am the one who inadvertently started the slotted comment. In my video talking about the differences in the E7 and the E7se I do use the word slotted at 2.50 but I immediately corrected myself and said they are elongated .625mm barely noticeable but needed.

I am sorry if I have made this more confusing. Alan is right. Slotted is the wrong word.
