Title: Tail control rods
Post by: Kyle O. on August 16, 2016, 07:57:11 AM
I need to know if, part #315-111 and 317-303 come with the threaded end caps?  I would hope they would, but it says 2 pcs. in the item description.  I just want to replace my tail control rods because i am concerned of how well they are glued, because i did not glue them.  I thought of just pinning them to be on the safe side.

When I built mine I use JB Weld never had a problem, Not sure but I do not think you get the threaded caps with it.

Also be careful, when gluing they want to slowly slide back off. The rod is a carbon tube.

No, the tail control rod ends do not come with the control rods.  You'll need to order a set of 305-311 Tail Push Rod Ends for each control rod.  The 2 PCS means you get 2 control rods in a package.  You'll also want to order 106-965 Tail Push Rod Sleeve (Teflon).  For reference, the tail control rod assembly is on page 29 and the front tail control rod assembly is on page 47 of the manual.

I see why i was having a hard time finding the parts in the synergy store.  I know the parts are shared between models, but the threaded ends were in the E5, and the sleeves are with the N5, and the 728mm tail rod is with the E7 parts list.  It was confusing at first but i get it now.

Yeah, that happens a lot when people first start looking for Synergy parts.  I've always found it easiest to pop up the manual and then I copy and paste the part numbers into the search field on the store's website.

Kyle,

I just want to say Kudos to you for taking the initiative to listen to your gut and change these. There is not a lot of guys out there that would think that way. And you making the choice to assemble your own says a lot in my book😎

+1 Rodney and Cliff !!
