Title: Me and my N7!
Post by: Mike Spano on August 11, 2014, 09:07:34 AM
ok guys, so here is a short video of me flying my new N7. I threw down one of my best flights ever for the camera 10 min before this and the dang camera didn't work and we missed it. so we split the next flight into 2 videos thinking maybe it was the length of the video that caused the problem. this is the only one that I have at the moment, I will load the 2nd one as soon as I get it, and one of me and my E5S when I get it too.

nothing amazing, kind of sucks really...lol.... I need to really work on keeping my altitude on 4 point tick tocs better. I am stepping away from the Bavairan Demon and its rescue function, so I am flying a little higher than I usually do with the VBar. its hard to see, but its ok....really just wanted to share my love of this bird and document one of my first flights with a nitro.

Nice flight! I think I was flying my E7SE a station or two left of you when you were tuning that beast! Very cool. :)

Really? That's neat! Yes, she is tuned in very well now. You wouldn't recognize the flight style either.....amazing what flying every single day will do! Lol

I hear you! And I'm jealous. I had been flying almost every day for the majority of the summer until IRCHA... and now I've been working long hours almost every day since IRCHA!!! Lol I want to fly so bad.
Anyway, congrats on that beautiful heli. Nothing like getting them dialed in just right!

Yes sir, I have a smaller heli that is extremely cheap to crash that i fly at the very least 8 packs (usually 10) a day. Except for Friday (4 or 5 on Friday bc I have to be at the office early), rain, extreme cold, horrible wind, or out of town. I usually fly 5 packs on the way in to work, and 5 on the way home. The park I fly at is big enough to practice everything but hurricanes,  and large funnels. So that is reserved for the weekend at the big field.

The hardest part for me was getting the little one setup and feeling as close to my large helis as possible. Muscle memory, as we all know, is very important, but I also want to learn how to fly through each and every maneuver. Not just be able to hit them. So I don't mind swapping sizes, but they still have to feel somewhat close. Lol.

Winter is going to suck. I did find a heli someone made on great planes for real flight 7 that is about the most realistic flying heli yet though. So that should hold me over well ;). I hope to get my rolling circles in forward and backwards flight, pirouetting tick tocs, and pirouetting funnels down this winter. That is the goal.

Oh come on there's plenty of time... you should set the bar a little higher. ;D lol Nice laundry list.

those are my favorite maneuvers to watch! piro tick tocs blow my mind!

I need to get to IRCHA sometime when work doesn't get in the way.  The open flight space is insane.

pirouetting tick tocs, in both right and left rudder, are down.

i have been working diligently on pirouetting funnels, they are a little harder to grasp than the tic tocks.

i have also got the rolling clockwise forward flight circle down too, just not cleaned up yet.

the sim is my friend with my new maneuvers. the only problem is, the more i practice some of these, the worse my basics from last year get...lol.....having to balance new moves and my old moves together.

another thing i am trying to work on in the middle is pirouetting rainbows. learning the piro tick tock first has made these harder, my thumbs want to work too fast or too large of inputs for these. so i am struggling with these at the moment.
