N7 on a cold day
« on: January 25, 2014, 07:14:09 PM »
Well, there have been several N7 videos showing it flown by pilots with some serious skills.  Here's one from someone with a bit more modest skills flying on a  really cold day.  There's almost no color because everything's dead here right now and the sky is pure gray.  The framing of the video is awful because my friend loaned me his GoPro and head mount and even though I tried a half-dozen times to get the angle right, it's still wrong.  Pretty much everything about this video is mediocre... enjoy.  :P

Not too shabby Rodney.  The go pro can be a challenge for self video.  Had pretty much the same problems using the head mount.  For me the Gopro is great for nice  scenic video mounted on a heli or quad but not of much use for still video.

Cheers

Nice flight.  This winter just needs to go away and go away quickly.

Thanks, and I totally agree about winter.  It was about 25 degrees out during that flight and my fingers were so cold they hurt by the end of the flight.  I have a transmitter mitt but forgot to grab it.

Thanks guys.  Yep, it's a 105HZ-R.  I still can't get over how much power this thing has.  I even went to +/-14 degrees collective for the heck of it and even then I have to try really hard to get it to bog.
