Title: Lowest head setting?

Has anyone tried this I'm on the middle hole been wanting to try it out.

Any thoughts????

Works great on all settings even the lowest. There is a slight difference but it is just that...slight. Theory says it should be less stress on servos, roll faster, etc, etc. You would need an amp/watt meter hooked up to a servo and take readings for each head position.
One thing I will say is that I designed the N5c so that the vertical CG would be right on the boom with the head in the stock position. Moving the head up and down does change the vertical CG.

Have fun tweaking with it, it's part of the hobby!

I tried this awhile back. I found that the lower head slowed down the flip/roll rate, and that the heli had less stopping power.. I put a new set of stock links back on, and raised the head back up, after 2 flights.

I saw a bunch of other brand helicopters boom strike this weekend at OHB due to head height too low. Rest assured that the lowest settings on all Synergy helicopters is high enough to avoid a boom strike. Of course if you load the head enough and lag the blades anything is possible.
