12S E5 Stretched on the way.
« on: March 02, 2013, 12:35:37 PM »
I'm stripping out my Fusion 50 and going E5 with E6 boom, and E7 spur gears.

Here's what's moving over

JR 8717 lv cyclics
Futaba BLS 251 tail
Quantum 4125/560
CC Ice2 HV80/CC Bec Pro or go life packs with step-down for tail servo
Vbar Fullsize Blue line swapping for Skookum 720 BE when out
Futaba RS6203SB

KDBB EE 96mm tail blades
Edge 623 mains.

I need to figure out what I need for servo arms or wheels for the JR Servos.

Congrats!

I'm using those same servos and I used JR part number JRPA217.  They're the small servo wheels.

So I managed to find some life packs, batteries seem to be in short supply, I ordered a set of JR ball link pliers so that I can mod the ones I already have to fit the synergy balls, JR wheels on the way, kit due next tuesday, now all I need is to round up a boto sizer or take all my links over to a friends to use his.

Anticipation since the weather is starting to turn here.

Shad,

Contact Ralph @ FBL Rotors Unlimited for a set of Ball Link Pliers. He has the one specific for the Synergy Heli's Plus he has other Performance Tools that are essential when you own a Synergy. ;)

I have the same servos in my E5-S.  Excellent choice.  You may want to pick up some extra servo hold downs to use as shims so the servos don't touch in the back.

I had to shim my MKS 950s but I didn't have to shim my MKS 665s.

I ordered those with the servo's based on 1 of your posts I saw somewhere.

Thanks

Slow but steady progress on this one.

It's a pleasure to build, I find myself stopping to admire the quality quite often.

Build is progressing nicely, airframe is complete, electronics installed, basic vbar setup done.

I still have to clean up some of the wiring. I went for a KDE 600XF-530 since KDE had them on sale and I needed to use my Quantum 4125-560 for my 6HV, the motor that came with it is basically as smooth as a rock mulcher.

I was shocked when I did a vbar spectrum analysis with blades off after completing the vbar setup.

Here are the results at 2200 HS.

Thanks

I've got tail blades ordered, When they come out with 620-625's I'll be all over them, maybe I'll run into Wolfie somewhere.

I already have the blade holder fwiw
