Just curious, i got bk 7002 for the cyclic. There is a bit of vertical play between the servo and the upper and middle bearing blocks. Should I just push the servo to the top and tighten? Or build a spacer?

I am running those same servos, I do not remember having any play on either 766 I built. Are you still having difficulties?
