IKON FBL and 0 pitch

(1/2) > >>

woodscra:
I made the pushrods to the blade grips the exact length as in the manual, but that gives me like +5 degrees pitch when I setup 90 degrees on all servos with the IKON.  Did anyone else experience this?

M.Schmavs:
I had a similar setup issue and couldn't get equal pitch + and -

A tip I was given is to set your pitch curves in the radio to a flat zero when leveling the swash and setting zero pitch. It helped with my initial setup not worrying about stick position through the whole process.

alan:
If you cannot get zero pitch at center stick with servos at 90 degrees then you do need to adjust the pitch links and possibly the swash links. This varies depending on the servos used. The link lengths in the manual are a starting point.
Be sure all the swash links are identical. Level the swash. Adjust the pitch links as needed. It really doesn’t take much to achieve a 5 degree pitch change
The zero pitch pitch curve is a good trick for use during setup.

^^ YES!

If you can level your swash with a minimal amount of radio input, leave those links alone and just focus on the pitch links. After messing with the swash links and going back to stock length, the pitch links are the only ones I ended up adjusting.

woodscra:
Thanks, all helpful.  Did you use any half turns on the links to get zero pitch?

I will level awash with fbl and adjust manually adjust pitch links.

I thought all links would work out since I used all recommended products.
